WODC decide to close the Pool. Mayor Jo leads KOPO in an assault on Witney and wins reprieve
FEB
25th is a black day in the town's history. Sold down the river by a WODC agreement to allow Parker Knoll to develop their site.
MARCH
WODC announce
they are closing the Visitors Centre in winter and thinking of selling off the Guildhall
APRIL
First Public consultation by OCC on Castleview's Future. Alarm bells now on full volume.

MAY
May Bank Holiday is marked with a Medieval Day, Chippy FC get promoted to the Hellenic First Division

JUNE
First Public Consultation by
the PCT on
Hospital Plans.
500 angry people
in the school

JULY
3 days filming of "Everything Must Go" in the town keeps up the momentum of a fantastic KOPO campaign
AUG
The NO CUTS
campaign collects
10,000 signatures
on its Hospital petition.

SEPT
Second Public Consultation on Hospital Plans. 1000 angry people in the church. The PCT make some  concessions. WODC decide to spend 100k refurbishing the Guildhall and not to sell it after all. Good news.
OCT
Yet again air pollution on Horsefair is way over limits. The District have no option but to declare Chippy Town Centre to be an Air Quality Management Zone. Now for some action
NOV
For the first time in living memory the WODC spend some money on business development in Chippy and hold an evening event with Business Link
and the Guild of Commerce. More like this please.
DEC
A super Victorian Evening beautifully organised brightens up the Town Centre. The Xmas trees are in place - thanks to the CN Society. In full council the WODC agree to refurbish the town toilets. Bring it on!
