re-furbished Town Hall Steps
|Once the Town Hall steps were lifted recently for the first time in 150 years it was pretty obvious that nobody would be taking them up again for a very very long time. So Councillor Watkins had the bright idea of burying a time capsule to try and communicate to our descendants some of the flavour of Chippy Life in the bygone early twenty-first century.. John Nobbs - the site manager for the current refurbishment by BHL- is seen above burying the capsule last Tuesday.
