HIGH SUMMER AT WHIPWELL

For some of us the most tangible sign of High Summer is the day Pam Hummer opens her beautiful garden in aid of the Lawrence Home Nursing Team. Seeing her new plants and new ideas - and this year a really lovely new water feature tucked away in a corner - is as delightful as seeing that Annette Lawrence is still on the gate and in her usual top form.  The garden looked magnificent - this year Pam has somehow coped marvellously well with the drought. It was great to see George looking so well and the carrot cake was super. After Whipwell Wimbledon is never far behind!
